I'll forward this to the publisher to see if they have any line of communication with Apple to see if this change can be undone, but for us this is a really difficult thing to work around - the point of bundling is to prevent this from happening, and with that feature broken we're unable to provide a consistent experience for all Mac users, particularly developers who are certainly going to have Homebrew installed. This means if you have something like SDL or FreeType installed via Homebrew it will actually override our copy and cause the application to crash because of conflicts.
